Our team provides pro bono medical and psychological forensic evaluations documenting torture and ill treatment for adults and children seeking humanitarian protection in immigration court.
Education & Training
We create a pipeline of clinicians and leaders trained on trauma-informed care for immigrants, building the capacity to perform life-saving forensic evaluations. We lead to disseminate best practices in training students, residents, fellows, and practicing clinicians.
Research
We aim to understand what immigrants seeking humanitarian protection need to prosper in their new homes. We document regional patterns of torture and ill-treatment.
Advocacy
We use the authoritative voice of healthcare professionals to improve immigration and asylum policy. We aim to advance policy recommendations using science, forensics, and public health.
