  • Refugee and asylee health
  • Patterns of human rights violations
  • Successful border policies and underlying structural factors which impact health of newcomers, including insecure housing, exposure to violence, and barriers to education and employment.
  • Evaluation and dissemination of our educational and operational models

William Martinez, PhD, was a co-author on a recent presidential task force report titled Psychological Science and Immigration Today, which calls for a population health approach to working with immigrants. This resolution was also adopted by the American Psychological Association’s Council of Representatives.
