On Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM PST the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Initiative (RAHI) will be holding its 3rd Annual UCSF/ZSGH Refugee Health Symposium titled Forced Displacement During COVID-19 . You’ll find more details below as well as a flyer attached to this email; the full agenda will be sent out in the coming weeks. Feel free to forward this to any of your colleagues and networks.
A virtual symposium showcasing the local and international impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced populations, with a focus on:
- Yemen: the world’s worst humanitarian crisis
- Challenges in caring for newcomers with COVID-19
- Focused workshops on advocacy, mental health, border health, and more!
The UCSF/ZSFG Refugee Health Symposium brings together refugee health experts across disciplines in an annual opportunity to discuss current issues and ongoing research in refugee health. Each year, the Symposium focuses on major current themes in forced displacement. This year, the Symposium will be held virtually online due to the pandemic.
